Atopiclair™ Product FAQs

Is Atopiclair™ suitable for everyone?

Atopiclair™ is safe for use on infants above the age of six months, children and adults. It’s clinically proven to be effective for mild to moderate cases of atopic dermatitis (eczema), especially for children under the age of two.

When should I use Atopiclair™?

Atopiclair™ can be used to soothe the skin during flare ups as well as during remission periods to keep atopic dermatitis (eczema) under control. Gently apply to your skin three times a day or as directed by your doctor.

What are the key ingredients in Atopiclair™?

Atopiclair™ contains glycyrrhetinic acid, telmesteine, powerful moisturising elements like hyaluronic acid and shea butter, as well as widely-recognised anti-oxidants like vitamin C, E and vitis vinifera (grape seed extract).

Other emollient base ingredients include ethylhexyl palmitate, pentylene glycol, arachidyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, arachidyl glucoside, glyceryl stearate, butylene glycol, capryloyl glycine, tocopheryl acetate, carbomer, ethylhexyl glycerine, piroctone olamine, sodium hydroxide and allantoin.

Can Atopiclair™ cause allergies?

Atopiclair™, unlike other topically-applied products, does not contain elements that may result in allergic reactions. This includes potentially allergenic substances, derivatives of animal origin (lanolin, beeswax and animal fat), milk derivates and perfumes (fragrances). Atopiclair™ is paraben-free.

Atopiclair™ contains Shea butter (B.parkii) which helps to moisturise and repair the skin. As a word of precaution, patients with a known allergy to this and/or known history of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients should consult their doctor before using this product.

Does Atopiclair™ work as a moisturiser?

Atopiclair™ contains key ingredients which act like a moisturizer to manage the symptoms of atopic dermatitis (eczema) but is more than just a moisturizer. Our unique formula treats eczema using a 3-pronged approach that calms, repairs and protects skin. Atopiclair™ restores skin barrier function and manages eczema over the long-term.

Can Atopiclair™ be used on the eyelids and around the eye area?

The area around the eyes can be sensitive. We recommend that you consult your doctor prior to applying Atopiclair™ on your eyelids or around the eye area. Apart from this, Atopiclair™ can be used without restriction on any other part of the body.

How should I use Atopiclair™ products to achieve optimum results?

Atopiclair™ Cream is a thicker application and is best used to calm flares and when experiencing extreme itching. Apply over localized areas during treatment. Atopiclair™ Cream can be used alone or in combination with other topical medications as prescribed by your doctor.

Atopiclair™ Lotion is a lighter formula and is best used during remission periods to keep the skin calm and protected from future flare-ups. Atopiclair™ Lotion may be applied all over the body and in addition to other creams.

Consult your doctor for more information on how to use Atopiclair™ to stop the itch-scratch cycle.

How is Atopiclair™ different from other treatments for Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema) treatments?

Unlike products that solely focus on relieving symptoms, Atopiclair™ breaks the itch-scratch cycle through a 3-pronged approach that calms, repairs and protects the skin. It is especially effective for children under the age of two and sufficiently powerful for adults. Atopiclair™ can be used as maintenance therapy for mild to moderate eczema over the long term without side effects.
